S Jaishankar: Due to severe inflation, violent demonstrations have been taking place in Pakistan occupied Kashmir for the last few days. During an event, on the situation in PoK, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said that one reason could be that he is seeing progress in the Kashmir Valley. They are saying that their life is getting better, maybe why should I lag behind. Seeing the progress of Jammu and Kashmir, there is an uproar in PoK. Along with this, the Foreign Minister said that please do not blame the people of Kashmir for the problems they have been facing for the last 80 years. It is a small section of the leadership there that has created the problem.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar further said that once you bring normalcy in Kashmir and integrate them into India. Suddenly the economy booms, tourism booms, people start going to school, medical colleges start, businesses start flourishing, and international flights take place.
The External Affairs Minister said that all this could have happened earlier also, but a small section of people wanted to put it on the back burner because they were getting benefits from it and were propagating their political views. S Jaishankar said that Kashmir is a good example of what happens when there is good governance.
